BENEFITS OF JOINING ACCA

BENEFITS OF ACCA MEMBERSHIP
The Arizona Child Care Association (ACCA) is a non-profit organization that represents professional licensed child care providers statewide. ACCA is the single most active and effective voice for child care providers. Our mission is to promote affordable and quality early care and education that meets the needs of Arizona's families and young children. ACCA works with child care owners, operators, and directors to address the challenges of providing high quality care and education given the current economic realities of what parents can afford and the limited state and federal funding.

ADVOCACY & LOBBYING GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATION
ACCA represents your interests with State and Federal elected officials. State and federal laws, regulations, policies, and funding directly affect your center. ACCA has impacted all major public policies and priorities for over 20 years. ACCA develops an annual legislative agenda that ensures early care and education receives the attention it deserves. Our experienced Executive Director and lobbyist influence decision-makers through public information campaigns, media releases, position statements, and formal public testimony.
ACCA represents your interests with the three major state agencies, DES, DHS, and ADE. State agency decisions about regulations and payments directly affect your daily operations and revenue. ACCA has effective working relationships with agency officials at all levels and regularly provides advice and input that shapes agency decisions and priorities. ACCA monitors regulations, budgets, and agency procedures to minimize unnecessary bureaucracy and resolve member's issues as they arise.
INFORMATION & PARTICIPATION PROFESSIONAL & PROGRAM
   DEVELOPMENT
ACCA provides timely, accurate, and concise information to members on issues that matter. Members can keep current, know what to expect, and learn how to get involved and make a difference. ACCA provides regular newsletters, sends announcements, and Action Alerts. ACCA convenes members regionally to exchange useful information and facilitates local partnerships and community collaborations.

ACCA works at the state & local levels to obtain enhanced training and educational opportunities for center employees. ACCA addresses staffing needs at all levels and develops services that support quality care for children. Members identify needs and ACCA coordinates with organizations to provide training. ACCA has developed a self assessment tool for critical quality measures that exceeds basic licensure. In addition, ACCA is developing an "Essential Orientation" package to prepare new employees and to meet the DHS regulations for required orientation.
